Bring:

• your favorite dish to share
• a picnic basket or tables and chairs
• your own plates and utensils
• something to drink
• sunscreen and hats

We need some tables to set the food on. Anyone have an extra folding
table for the food?

We got lots of suggestions about organizing who brings what but in
the end we decided that a Potluck should be a surprise.

So bring whatever you want to share. Extra points for treasured
family recipes. And bring whatever you need to serve it. (tongs, a big spoon, a ladle, a
fork)

There has been some interest in playing some non-competitive games.
No one has as yet volunteered to organize them, but there is some
interest in playing them. Anyone care to take this on?

Also, June 20th is Father’s Day. What better way to honor Dad?

Not everyone in the neighborhood is on this list so please talk to
the neighbors around you and let them know.
Feel free to print this out and hand deliver it to the folks a few
houses up and down your street.

Sign up for the Announcements mailing list and keep up with news and events in the East Morrissey Neighborhood.  This is a moderated mailing list and we send out only announcements that are pertinent to the neighborhood. There are currently over 200  neighbors signed up for the list.

Thanks to everyone who participated in the BBQ!
More than 100 folks showed up and it seems liked everyone was having a great time.  It was so great to meet new people and make new friends.

Many, many thanks to all who helped with organizing, set-up and clean-up. You helped make it just about effortless.

We’ve got quite a pile of lost and found items that were left on the pot luck table so if you’re missing what you brought, please give me a call at 426.2272.

If you’ve got some ideas about how to make our next event even better, we’d love to hear them.

How about a neighborhood potluck in early October? After the summer frenzy but while the weather is still beautiful.

Money Matters:

Several people put money into the raffle basket as a donation. It was counted with the raffle money.  Jim Franks and Lynn Harper asked that their contributions not be reimbursed but rather counted as donations.  The remaining $19.45 will be put in an account with Parks and Rec to be used for our next event.
